That’s why every role, from graduate marketer through to CMO, is a pure headhunt. As marketers, we have a range of techniques to identify, attract and assess people before we present them. The net result is that hiring is faster, more enjoyable and more predictable.

What happens when you work with Example

What happens if my hire doesn’t work out?

We guarantee every hire for at least the length of probation. If you work with us on a success-only fee, we’ll guarantee up to the end of their probation. If you work with us on a retainer, we’ll guarantee for 12 months - meaning we’ll replace free of charge.

How do you find candidates if you don’t use job boards?

Sometimes we know them already. Often, we want to know them, we just need the right role. Otherwise, we find them & get to know them. We have many tools & techniques, and we use LLMs to source and cross-reference candidates with OSINT methodologies. When you search across the whole market, you find candidates who aren’t applying for roles on job boards, and are very often waiting for us to approach them.

How long does it take?

A solid shortlist should take between 5 to 10 days to develop. This involves taking a full brief, researching everything about your company, drawing up a longlist of people to contact, doing the outreach, conducting interviews and then presenting the top candidates to you.

Can I work with other recruiters as well as Example?

Obviously, we’d prefer that you don’t! We always give priority to exclusive relationships - which you’d expect purely from a commercial point of view. That gives us the breathing space to conduct serious interviews with candidates, in the knowledge that we’ll be paid for the work we do.

How do I know that my offer is at market rate?

We’ll tell you! We can present detailed salary information for your specific role - as well as insight into what the market is offering beyond the salary. If what you’re offering is below market rate, there’s little point in us taking it to the best candidates on the market, so it’s in all of our interests to ensure that you’re offering candidates the best opportunity possible.

How do you choose your candidates?

There are so many variables. But as recruiters who have spent many years as B2B marketers, we speak candidates’ language - and we understand their particular challenges. As hiring managers, we’ve built our own teams. We seek candidates who don’t just have the skills and background you need - but we look for values & behaviours that line up with yours. We listen for their language, their words, their reactions - and that’s where we really make our selection. That comes from many years of experience in the industry, as well as many years’ experience of being the hiring managers ourselves.

What are the payment options?

You can either pay on success, or you can pay a retainer. It’s up to you. A retainer gives you a longer guarantee period, so therefore greater peace of mind. Paying on success of course ensures that you don’t pay anything until you’ve got your hire in place.
